BIO
Birdie, AKA Bird the Word, AKA Birdog Millionaire.
Birdie was found about 8 months ago, dragging her body down a highway in the southside of Puerto Rico. Luckily the man who saw her stopped to help - unlike so many others who drove by. Bird was taken in by the Puerto Rico Dog Fund rescue and was immediately seen by a vet: although she has no bone or spinal damage, she suffers from severe muscle damage due to most likely having been hit by a car. Birdie is not in any pain, but she also can’t fully walk. Not having full use of her legs does NOT stop the Bird. She holds her own with all the big dogs she meets and gets to play with. Bird is still looking for her forever home and we’re hoping this exposure can not only show people how amazing special needs dogs are, but maybe even get Birdie closer to finding her forever family. Birdie is currently in foster in SoCal but can travel anywhere.
